The Höinger Heidelauf is known as the toughest 10 km race in the Soest district and takes place every year on the first Friday in September. The challenging course includes 120 meters of elevation gain and leads over paved roads and dirt paths down into the Möhnetal and back to Höingen. For beginners, the 5 km run is suitable, which follows a loop through the village of Höingen. This year, the half marathon makes its debut, with the course covering part of the 5 km run and then turning into the heath.
